What is a Ventrue?

I'm looking for as much information on a Ventrue type of vampire that you can find.
He was strong enough to punch a person through a door, and could dodge bullets fired from a hand gun. Therefore I assume he had enhanced strength and speed.

I've been told the one in particular had something special.
For any in the South Boston Area, the Ventrue had long fangs, normal ears, long fangs, but more notably he had electric blue eyes.

A Ventrue, I a Lord of the night. There are normally thought of as the lords, kings, and politicians of their kind.
